April 1987 : Formation of a Preparatory Committee for Establishment of the United Graduate School of
                    Agricultural Sciences, Kagoshima University

April 1988 : Establishment of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences( 3-year Doctoral Program)
                    comprising four graduate programs from three universities, Kagoshima University, Faculties of
                    Agriculture and Fisheries, University of Miyazaki, Faculty of Agriculture, and Saga University,
                    Faculty of Agriculture

April 1992 : Participation of University of the Ryukyus in the United Graduate School

April 2004 : Four Universities were reconfirmed their participation in the United Graduate School of Agricultural
                    Sciences based at Kagoshima University under new treaties that turned national universities into
                    independent administrative entities

April 2005 : In collaboration with Takara Bio Inc., a new educational field was integrated into the Biochemistry
                    and Applied Resource Chemistry Courses

April 2007 : Reestablishment of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences consisting of four graduate
                    programs from three universities, Kagoshima University, Saga University, and University of the
                    Ryukyus

April 2009 : Reorganized from 4 Courses 11 Major Chairs to 3 Courses 9 Major Chairs(Rengo-Koza)
