Requirements for degree award

Students are normally required to pursue studies for at least 3 years, which will include a minimum of 12 credits. They will then be required to submit a doctoral thesis and must pass the presentations of their thesis and final examination.

Students who complete a course in the fields of Science of Bioresource Production, Biological Science and Technology, and Resources and Environmental Science of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries will be awarded a doctoral degree in Agricultural Science, in Fisheries Science, or in Philosophy by Kagoshima University.
