Entrance ceremony for the 2024 academic year (October entrance course)

On 4 October, the Entrance ceremony for the 2024 academic year (October entrance course) of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (UGAS) was held. Three students in the October Entrance Course have been assigned to Saga University.

 

At the ceremony, following the approval of the admission, Ms. Ekanayaka Jayasundara Mudiyanselage Samadhi Kavindya Dissanayake, who is assigned to Saga University, pledged on behalf of the students, saying: ‘I pledge to cultivate advanced research skills and devote myself to academic learning to become an international researcher who will lead the 21st century.’ 

 

KITAHARA Kanefumi, Dean of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, said in his welcome address, ‘I would like to pay tribute to the efforts and passion that have led you to this point. The doctoral program is important for exploring a wide range of knowledge and deepening your specialization. Many challenges await you in your future research life, but the results you will achieve by overcoming these challenges will be immeasurable. You are encouraged to actively interact with many faculty members and students in Japan and abroad and to acquire your professional skills, interdisciplinary knowledge, an international perspective, and a sound research ethics. Sharing different perspectives and experiences will bring you discoveries and inspiration.’  This was followed by a congratulatory address from SUZUKI Akihiro, Dean of the Graduate School of Agriculture, Saga University.
