Our students received the ‘Best Oral Presentation Award’ and ‘Outstanding Oral Presentation Award’ at the 58th Annual Meeting of the Ichthyological Society of Japan.

At the 58th Annual Meeting of the Ichthyological Society of Japan held at Fukuoka Institute of Technology (Hakata) from 7 to 9 September, Mr. FURUHASHI Ryusei, a second-year student at our graduate school, received the ‘Best Oral Presentation Award’ and Ms. DEWA Yuna, a first-year student, received the ‘Outstanding Oral Presentation Award’.
 
The Outstanding Presentation Award of the Ichthyological Society of Japan is given to student members and students of foreign members who have made excellent research presentations at the annual meeting, and one to three students are selected for each of the two fields of taxonomy and ecology for their poster and oral presentations respectively. There were 200 presentations (99 oral; 101 posters), of which 91 (40; 51) were by students.
