Entrance ceremony for the 2025 academic year (April entrance course)

On April 11, 2025, the entrance ceremony of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences was held. 33 students, including 15 international students, were admitted.

After IDO Akio, President of Kagoshima University, gave the 33 students permission to enter the Graduate School, Mr. NAMPUNDA JUNIOR JOSE MATEUS, who is assigned to Saga University, pledged on behalf of the new students: “I pledge to devote myself to cultivating advanced research skills and academic knowledge to become an international researcher who will lead the 21st century. 

IDO Akio, President of Kagoshima University,  stated in his address, “Through your studies and encounters at this graduate school, you will enhance your expertise and acquire basic skills as advanced researchers, such as diverse ways of thinking, a global perspective and ability to take action, problem identification, communication skills, and so on, so that you will have a hopeful future and a stable and sustainable society. 

This was followed by a congratulatory address from KODAMA Hiroaki, President of Saga University, and KINA Ikuue, President of the University of the Ryukyus.

The 33 new students enrolled in our graduate school are as follows
Japanese: 18
15 international students (seven from China, two from Sri Lanka, two from the Philippines, one from Cameroon, one from Mozambique, one from Uganda, one from Pakistan)
