Entrance ceremony for the 2025 academic year (October entrance course)

On 3 October, the Entrance ceremony for the 2025 academic year (October entrance course) of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (UGAS) was held. One student in the October Entrance Course has been assigned to Saga University.

At the ceremony, following the approval of the admission, Mr. Ankardiansyah Pandu Pradana, who is assigned to Saga University, pledged, saying: ‘I pledge to cultivate advanced research skills and devote myself to academic learning to become an international researcher who will lead the 21st century.’ 

KITAHARA Kanefumi, Dean of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, said in his welcome address, ‘The doctoral program is a crucial step aimed at exploring broad knowledge and deepening expertise in a specialized field. While many challenges await in your future research life, the achievements gained by overcoming them are immeasurable. While adapting to Japan’s systems, language, and culture may not be easy, overcoming these hurdles to earn your doctorate will significantly cultivate your academic knowledge, international perspective, and mental fortitude. Seek interaction with peers who share your aspirations. Develop not only your specialized skills but also interdisciplinary knowledge, a global outlook, and sound research ethics. Sharing diverse perspectives and experiences will spark discoveries and inspiration.’

This was followed by a congratulatory address from SUZUKI Akihiro, Dean of the Graduate School of Agriculture, Saga University.
