The 2025 Special Seminar on Agricultural Sciences was held!
The 2025 Special Seminar on Agricultural Sciences was held for three days from Monday, November 10 to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Researcher Exchange Facility 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall, University of the Ryukyus.
As our graduate school consists of three universities — Saga University, the University of the Ryukyus, and Kagoshima University — most lectures are conducted online. However, the Special Seminar on Agricultural Sciences brought together students from all three constituent universities for an intensive lecture. Seventy students participated, fostering meaningful discussions and camaraderie among faculty members and students.
The program featured three sessions by invited lecturers, along with student-led activities: “Major Advanced Seminar (First-grade students Presentations)” and “Poster Session (Second-grade students Poster Session)”. At the “Poster Session (Second-grade students Poster Session)”, three students were selected for the Outstanding Poster Presentation Award based on votes from seminar attendees and the Rendai representatives. They were presented with the certificates made from the Okinawa Plant “Getto (Alpinia zerumet)”
The students who received the Outstanding Poster Presentation Award are as follows:
