April 1987 Formation of a Preparatory Committee for Establishment of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Kagoshima University.
April 1988 Establishment of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (3-year Doctoral Program) consisting of three universities, Kagoshima University, University of Miyazaki, and Saga University.
April 1992 Participation of University of the Ryukyus in the United Graduate School.
April 2004 Four Universities were reconfirmed their participation in the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences based at Kagoshima University under new treaties that turned national universities into independent administrative entities.
April 2005 A cooperative postgraduate program was established based on a collaborative agreement for research and education with Takara Bio Inc (through March 2025).
April 2007 Reestablishment of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences consisting of three universities, Kagoshima University, Saga University, and University of the Ryukyus.
April 2009 Reorganized from 4 Courses 11 Major Chairs to 3 Courses 9 Major Chairs (Rengo-Koza).
April 2025 Reorganized from 3 Courses 9 Major Chairs to 1 Course 3 Divisions.
